ABOUT US

There’s lots of fun to be had with Cotswold Rowing Club!

Cotswold Rowing Club concentrate on "sculling" as opposed to "sweep oar" rowing, and this allows us greater flexibility to ensure our rowers get out on the water.

History

Our club was formed in late 2006 to provide a host club for the new Cleveland Lakes complex in the Cotswold Water Park between Cirencester and Swindon. We are based on the same site as Lake 32 Outdoor Centre, which is:- Cotswold Water Park, Lake 32, Spratsgate Lane

Key Information

Cotswold Rowing Club are a friendly and welcoming club. For us, it's not all about serious training: we love it when our teams/individuals win, but we're just as enthusiastic about our groups that simply meet for fun.

We don't differentiate between our members. Anyone is welcome to join us. Our trainers are team members just like anyone else and will be happy to tell you more about the activities we offer and help you find the place and boat that's right for you.

We're always happy to welcome new members who are interested in joining in with club activities, helping us organise events and being part of our community

Equipment Available at Cotswold Rowing Club

At Cotswold RC, we concentrate on "sculling" as opposed to "sweep-oar" rowing.

We have a variety of sculling boats and equipment available to suit a wide variety of experienced and novice rowers.
We currently have:

4 training sculls which can have floats on or off depending on your sculling experience
4 fine sculls with more on the way at a variety of weights, for experienced scullers and those looking to move up from the training sculls
A selection of doubles which are out regularly, for those who want to form a close bond with other members of the club and develop squad rowing
1 Coxless quad allowing a group of 4 scullers to form a crew and enjoy crew rowing as well as single crew rowing.
We are always adding more equipment to our fleet where needed.

We also have space for private boats to be racked on site with a fee of £55 for a single scull.
